About this directory
What this site is
Austin Landscapers is a directory of 255 landscaping businesses serving Austin TX and the surrounding area. It exists for homeowners and property managers who want a straight answer to “who’s actually good at this,” without wading through paid ad placements dressed up as recommendations. Every business on the site gets the same treatment: public information about the company, and a score built from a rubric anyone can read.
This is not a lead-generation funnel and it’s not a place where a business can pay to look better than a competitor. It’s a reference tool, built and kept current by one publisher who’s willing to put a name on it.
How listings get built
Each profile starts with public business data: name, service area, years operating, license or insurance details where available, and similar basics. On top of that, we synthesize recent Google reviews for that business into a plain-language summary of what customers tend to say, the good and the bad. We do not copy or republish the review text itself. If you want to read the original reviews, every listing links out to the business’s Google profile so you can see them firsthand.
How rankings are earned
Rankings come from a published, fixed rubric applied the same way to every business, full details live on the methodology page. It weighs things like review recency, consistency of sentiment, volume of feedback, and responsiveness patterns. There’s no manual override for a favored business and no back door for a bad one. A business’s position in the rankings is a direct output of its data, nothing else.
Sponsorship, when it appears
Some pages may include a placement clearly labeled “Sponsored.” Sponsored listings are shown in a separate section from the earned ranking, never blended into it, and paying for a sponsorship has zero effect on a business’s score or rank. If you can’t tell which is which, that’s a bug, not a feature, and you can email us about it.
Correcting your own listing
If you run one of the 255 businesses listed here and something factual is wrong, a phone number, address, service list, years in business, you can request a correction and we’ll fix it. What you can’t do is edit your own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those come only from the data and the rubric.
Who’s behind it
This directory is published by Bluebonnet Local Guides. Rachel Delgado spent nine years estimating jobs and running crews for a landscaping company in Round Rock before moving into publishing, and she now maintains the rankings here as Managing Editor, applying the same rubric to every listing and keeping an eye on how the site holds up over time. Data is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
Questions, corrections, or sponsorship inquiries can go to hello@bluebonnetlocalguides.com.

FAQ
- Can a business pay to improve its ranking?
- No. Sponsored placements are labeled and shown separately from the earned ranking. Payment never changes a score or a rank.
- Do you post the actual text of Google reviews?
- No. We synthesize recent reviews into a summary of common themes and link out to the business's Google profile so you can read the originals yourself.
- How often is the directory updated?
- The full dataset refreshes monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
- Can a business correct its own listing?
- A listed business can request corrections to factual details like address or services. It cannot change its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
