Corrections, disputes and removals

Austin Landscapers is a free directory of landscaping companies in the Austin area, powered by public business data and Google reviews. Every business gets a score built from the same formula applied consistently across all listings. No payment changes how your business is ranked or scored. This page explains how to fix incorrect information, challenge a score you believe is wrong, or request removal of your listing. See our rubric for the full scoring rubric.

Fixing incorrect information

Factual fields like your business name, address, phone number, website, hours, and services are corrected when you provide the correct information along with proof we can check against, such as your website or your Google Business Profile. Once a correction is applied, it stays in place when we refresh our data in the future.

Disputing your score

A score dispute is a claim that the data feeding into your score is wrong: the listing is matched to the wrong business, reviews were credited to you that aren't yours, or a summary statement misrepresents what reviewers actually wrote. When you file a dispute, we re-check those sources and rebuild your listing. A dispute is not a request for a higher number; scores are never hand-edited.

Requesting removal

We remove listings when a business is permanently closed, when a listing is a duplicate of another, or when the business falls outside Austin Landscapers' scope. Our monthly re-check cycle also finds and removes closed businesses on its own. If your listing is accurate and in scope, a removal request may be declined, and we'll explain why in plain terms.

Write to hello@bluebonnetlocalguides.com with your business name, your listing's URL, and the change you are requesting. This directory is published by Bluebonnet Local Guides.

Response times

Every request gets an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Removals that are approved happen within 7 days. Requests that are declined come with a clear reason.
